I use my Blackberry Storm for personal email use (Yahoo). I have several filters set up on my Yahoo mail account. However, none of these filters seem to carry over to my Blackberry when I retrieve emails there.

ex. messege from John Smith on my computer automatically goes to the "John Smith" folder on my Yahoo mail page (on computer). However, I never see this mail on my Blackberry.

How can I fix this?

You can't. Your blackberry will only retrieve e-mails from your main inbox folder on Yahoo. I actually use filters the opposite way, I have some stuff that I don't want to see on my Pearl, and I have Yahoo automatically move them into various folders underneath my inbox.

thanks. that's surprising. would have thought there would be a way to have the filtered emails appear in my Blackberry inbox, at the very least

I have the same problem. I never thought to use reverse filters thanks dubs
