I'm addicted to gadgets in general, but the BB has shown how addicted to email I am, everytime the little chime goes off, I can't get to my 8830 fast enough.

This is my Blackberry. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My Blackberry is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it, as I must master my life. Without me, my Blackberry is useless. Without my Blackberry, I am useless. I must Answer my E-mail true. I must answer quicker then my competitors, who are trying to take my job. I must answer questions before him. I will. Before God I swear this creed. My Blackberry and myself are defenders of my work ethic. We are the masters of our competition. We are the saviors of my cash flow. So be it....until there is no competition, but prosperity. Amen.

    Addiction story:

Always funny to see people using BB during class. Every five minutes they would have a vibrate, take it out, check their message/text/etc. Often times they would leave the lecture alltogether to take that call or type out that long(er) email.

The best part: I've seen professors interrupt class briefly for their BB!

Pet peeve: Love it when I am interviewing for a job and my interviewer interrupts us to check on his latest M&A deal just pushed to his BB.

My addiction started when I became BB admin where I work. I use my BB alot and can't seem to put it down, unless I don't want to be contacted for some reason. Which is far and few between.

Access to my corporate and personal email. It drives me nuts when a phone rings and no one picks it up.

I have my BB set to alert on a phone call only. The only alert for e-mail or SMS is the red LED. That way I'm not constantly being drawn to it so my addiction is under control!

The best thing for me is the phone only mode...After using it all day the setting is placed at around 7ish and the emails and texts can wait until the next day...

I always jump when a message or email alert comes. Even when I know it isn't anything critical.

I've only had my Curve for three weeks, and already I've walked into one door (unopened) and a wall while reading/replying to email!

I think part of my addiction right now is just trying to figure it all out. Once I do, I think that I will be able to control my addiction, if not I don't know what I'll do. lol.

I have a hard time getting up in the morning, I ignore the alarm clock (snooze forever). Well my wife has figured out that if she emails me... BAM up up and checking my BB and the day begins yet again.

If I respond to someone and they thank me, I'm compelled to say you are welcome, just because I like to email on my Curve. It's SO much easier than my Treo 650 was. As to addiction - I'm not..... wait! I just hear my Curve vibrate.... It must be important!
