I tend to alternate between my two addictions - BB and IBook:o
I don't think I'm addicted...however whenever it is not around I feel sad and depressed, I am only happy with my blackberry on my side or in my hand or close to me...when its not close I feel bad and try to find something else to make me feel good again...some other gateway...
but I don't think I am addicted.
I can now use my BB as an alarm clock. The new message vibration wakes me every time.
Bit like asking "are you addicted to air" or "are you addicted to food", or maybe more like "are you addicted to fresh air" or "are you addicted to wearing clothes" - I could theoretically live without, but it would seem somewhat silly to do so, and I don't see the point.
Write out your blackberry rules and keep them in front of you, your family and your co-workers. Create penalties on yourself (that others get to enforce) when you violate your rules!!
Sonney
Definately like learning more and more about its endless potential and things you can add to it. If that is addicted then yes haha.
I actually sit in front of my PC but read email from my BB instaed!
I'm not addicted to the bb, but I know people at work that are glued to it. My person has on numerous occassions let his food at the restaurant, get cold while he was using his bb.
LOVE IT sooooooooo much
I've actually been told I'm addicted. I then tried a different phone and that lasted about two days. I felt like one of those Cavemen from the Geicko Commercials, way to stone age.

With not having it long, I voted maybe, cuz my addition is growing. Darn...should have voted yes
I'm a new bb owner, so I don't think I had time to get addicted, yet
Theres no controlling the addiction! I quit smoking cold turkey 4 years ago and haven't took 1 drag off of a smoke since. The Berry I can't put down. To control the Berry is to not even get one but wheres the fun in that!
One evening, my wife told me how silly it was that I was spending so much time on the BB. I politely smiled, handed her the phone, and told her to check out this cool game called Brick Breaker.
She took the Pearl in hand and started playing. Every few minutes there was a curse under her breathe(my wife despises cursing), an hour later she handed back the BB and stormed off to bed.
I never laughed so hard (inside) in my life.
Just can't help it...Love thins thing(BB).
I just got my bb two days ago. I am getting used to it and learning more. I want to get a memory card for it, but do not know if I really need it or not.
a way to fight the crackberry addiction?...why fight it? just embrace it! i will never try to fight my blackberry addiction because logically its just silly really silly. hmm my favorite crackberry story huh?...well my name is anh tran and i have been an addict for about a little less then a month now. i have named my blackberry burt and burt goes everywhere with me...everywhere including the bathroom, dressing room, he waits for me when i shower so i can use the media player, i have people referring to my phone by his name, and i am soo addicted i kiss him...occasionally and by occasionally i mean everyday!
The only thing that works for me is to put it in a room that is out of hearing range at the end of the day.
Tip: Think of something you love more and what would happen if you lost that because of your crackberry.
Nah . . . that won't work with this lot. :-)
It's unavoidable...
All you can do is mask it from your family and friends with excessive alcohol use.:D
I am a new BB user and am trying to not become an addict like my dear husband.
Certainly Blackberries can be addictive but you gotta say 'when'!! I'm not buying a holster or a beltclip!! I do plan to integrate scheduling into my life with my Blackberry... birthday reminders, haircut appointments etc., but that's about be organized and not being addicted... I'm sure of it!!
I don't think I'm addicted. But I'm always on it, lol
For me, the addition comes in the form of needing to switch to a new model every 8, 6, now three months. I think I'm going to start to outpace RIM
The device is an enabler, but the addition is to the information it provides.
