EDGE-GRPS-GSM...whats going on

Ok, I have a 9000 Bold with AT&T and for some reason my EDGE keeps changing to say GSM or GRPS and back to EDGE.....does anyone know what is goin on? Maybe its nothing for me to worry about but I'm not sure....HELP please

Maybe your carrier is having network issues but it appears that your Bold is struggling to hold onto it's signal.

GSM means no data, GPRS and EDGE both mean you'll have data but obviously quicker with EDGE.

Try a battery pull and see if that stabalises your signal. If not contact your carrier and see if they are having network issues.

As an aside, does your Bold never show 3G and the BB logo next to it?

Thanks...its showing the 3G/BB now that I'm in another city....but where I live it does the switching I mention

Its a network issue. I would still check and see if they are having a network issues in the area you live.
