Is there a way to set my Blackberry Curve up to only receive e-mail from those in my address book? I'm tired of the spam and other frivolous e-mails.

You need to setup the spam filters on your email server. There is nothing on the device for this.

Unfortunately, It's my yahoo account that is giving me the blues. Some of the messages I have subscribed to and don't mind viewing them on my desktop, just don't want to view them on my BlackBerry. And as far as the Spam goes, Yahoo's spam filter does not work that well.

Do you just use the free Yahoo account. I have the Premium, $20.00 a year and have never gotten any spam on my BB.

You can setup filters on your carrier's BIS site so that specific emails don't go to your device.

Been trying to do that, but when I try and access their site, it tells me that it must be done from the device, when I try it from the device, it tells me to do it from the website. bout pulled enough hair out for the night, think I'll give it a rest and try again tomorrow. Please feel free to send any more ideas, it's going to buzzzzzzzzz, with every e-mail response.

I upgraded to the Yahoo Mail Plus (the $20 a year version). We'll see if that helps.
