I know the contacts and calendar app for bb10 still sucks. But I don't know how I'm getting duplicate entries. When I had gmail, I subscribed to the holiday calendar. When you do that, does gmail put all the holidays in the calendar and then leave them there?

I removed that account, but holidays remain. Birthdays are the same. Is there a way to remove one set of holidays?

They are listed as being on the local calendar.

It is possible, since I've done it myself, to add duplicate calendar events in Gmail alone. In fact, you can have duplicates of duplicates.

This is an example of a BB user with the issue:

You can choose which accounts show items in your calendar from the accounts settings. So if you only want Google, local, or whatever, you can remove the others.

As stated, you can clear your local calendar just like any other account calendar.
