This little "ask CNET" is just more of the negative "piling on" to RIM we've been seeing. Nothing to see here, move along.

He's not bashing Blackberry in any way, he's answering the question as straight forward as possible
He answered it, said why and recommended some other phones to ease the wait. Its not biased nor hating. Jesus you guys are like girls getting called fat.

It's never polite to call a girl fat to her face. Unless you're a very close friend.

I just wanted to pull this single line out.

This fact, that BB10 is not widely know about, is a big part of RIM's problem. All of this information needs to be much more widely disseminated, so that the general population knows all about BB10, about all the great features, AS THEY DEVELOP. Any person who watches TV at all, should know about BB10, because advertisements should be splashed everywhere. It astonishes me that RIM is not advertising properly.
All this will happen...on January 30th and after. It would be a big mistake if they start advertising early. Can you imagine the moans and groans of "mainstream" people when they realize they can't even get their hands on a product for another few months. It's already bad enough with the tech bloggers and those of us here that follow BlackBerry closely.

Note how he words it like " If you have the patience, the upcoming Nokia Lumia 920 running on the Windows Phone 8 platform looks very promising, too." which can imply that BB10 doesn't appear promising, despite everything said about it so far. Virtually the entire article, including the question, is spun to put BB in a bad light while promoting it's competitors.
Or it simply could be the writer suggesting another phone that will be available 2012, since the original question was specifically asking about this year. He did already point out that BB10 will be available Q1 2013 earlier on.
