    Hi all

Have bought a dual drive usb type c stick so I can transfer info pretty quickly between DTEK60 and Macbook however the Mac will recognise it but when inserted into the DTEK all I get is a page saying: Hint, please choose the root directory of your storage (or external SD card) to grant permissions to operate.

    Press ok

Then asks me to select, so press select and get the same message as above - Hint, please .....................

Any help or ideas most welcome

    Thanks in advance

You need a USB OTG cable or adapter.

Not sure what you mean, the usb stick fits into the DTEK so surely a cable is not required

USB OTG doesn't work that way. You need an adapter.

Actually, they have been making devices as he described for a few years already, and they are USB OTG on one side and standard USB on the other.

Not sure why it isn't working, but it should work.

The drive I have is Sandisk, USB 3.1 on one side and USB type C on the other. I haven't got another phone with type C so can't try it. Very annoying, I have micro SD card in phone as well and thats fine

Sandisk has two dual drive USB sticks on their website - one has OTG built in, and the other does not. I think it's the M3.0 that has it.

    Hi conite

So do I need to buy an additional OTG adapter for this to work, if so didn't realise this and maybe not as slick an idea as I anticipated it would be

Just look at your instructions or the specs on the website to confirm first.

Otherwise, you will need a dongle.

Just looking at the webpage, which isn't very clear, I suspect that you may need to use the software that's mentioned in order to make it work. It may not support OTG on its own, even though some other devices do.
