You should be able to install it back from the DM Application Loader.

Connect the device and run the App. Loader and if it is in the list, place a check mark in the box and next out of the program.

    Create a spreadsheet?

Not with DocsToGo, that is a Word application. The other sample is a PowerPoint application.

You will need the actual application suite to get the Excel component.

The version of DocsToGo that comes with OS 4.5 is very basic. I think they rushed it out the door just to get it out there. That is the end of the bad news.

Once you have re-installed Docs via Desktop Manager, open the app and press Menu and find Register. This will take you to the DataViz registration website (name, address, email, etc.). Once you ar registered, you will gain access to two downloads. One is the basic product (free) and contains Excel.

The other is a $68 upgrade to the full version.

I recently upgraded to OS 4.5 on my Pearl 8110. I registered Docs To Go and only received Word and Powerpoint. Did not get Excel. Did they change something or what?

I agree, the Docs To Go version is very basic. I had to create an account on DataViz.com in order to download Sheet To Go (Excel).
I couldn't do much with the basic version, so I had to go ahead and shell out $69.
