Tax return coming so I ordered another Classic from Verizon ($399.99). Salesman thought I was crazy and I'm sure some in CB will too. I have to go with my gut and stick with the phone that meets my needs.

Nothing crazy about that. I returned the Priv I had ordered, after much research, and am staying with my trusty Classic. It just works. And my son turned the Priv down, and got the Leap instead, to replace his Z10. There are some things that OS10 does well, if u are not app dependent. And we have an Android tablet for other stuff.

that's exactly what I'm going to do, 2016 is the year of stocking up on BlackBerry OS10 devices even if all of the other seven BB devices around the family are still in perfect working order.
(even the three year old Z10 and Q10) just keep going.

I'm entitled in four new mobiles this year and no doubt they all going to be Classics and PassPorts, to cover the the period until end of 2017 in case no new OS10 getting released in the meantime.
Definitely looking forward to Classic-II and Passport-II or any OS10 device with PKB.

Not crazy at all. Love my Classic, only drawback for me is that I have to use the mobile Hangouts site.

I've been thinking about the same. The blue Classic would be a mighty fine addition to the collection and the form factor is just fantastic. Anyone who criticizes the tool belt just doesn't know what they are missing. It's a beauty - form meets function at its finest!

Does the classic give the BBOS experience? I ask as an ex OS7 user that wants to rekindle some love lol.

I've heard from a few on here that the trackpad isn't properly integrated into BB10.

I will be purchasing a passport later this year. I couldn't care less about BB10 not having a future roadmap. The current experience fits my needs from a mobile device.

I was in the market for the Classic this year but there is just too much uncertainty around BlackBerry and BB10 lately so I couldn't reconcile taking the plunge. Especially at that price.

It's a lovely phone though. I regret not getting it blast years to at least get a year of use our of it.

Not crazy at all! I have been in the market for a slightly used Passport or Classic. I like physical keyboards and prefer bb10 to ios for a bunch productivity reasons. Go for it!!

I've got a passport but I will pick up a classic when the price reaches rock bottom. It looks like a great phone that brings back memories of my Bold. The passport just causing too many conversation to give up.

Doubled down with a second Z30. BB10 and the Z30 make the best combination ever for my needs. Why should any of us leave what we love so long a function is good?

I don't think I would say that it gives the BBOS experience because there are far more differences there than just what the trackpad does. BBOS was built around the trackpad (or ball) for navgation whereas BB10 was built upon gestures. Considering that, I think they have done a beautiful job at integrate it as well as possible. You can use it to navigate around the OS, click it to send messages or copy and paste text, and nothing beats it for the accuracy you want when editing text. It's great and it makes me wonder what would have happened had they released this instead of the Q10.

I can imagine that you're at a stage where you'd miss not having it if you were to go to the Passport. I could imagine that it would take some time to get used to it being there to use for actions that you would usually do via touch screen.

I agree, and would go even further as to say that the Classic should have been the device that BB10 was initially launched with. That way they could've got their current BBOS user Base on-board with the New OS.

Yep. And don't forget the BES5 / BES10 drama. But I'm glad they tried, otherwise we wouldn't have what we're enjoying right now...
