    i would assume yes, but i think we will wait to see what sunkast has to say, as he seems to know more about this!!!

    Correct. If you are out in the middle of the woods where there is no cell coverage, you won't have any way to download the map image. Just a blank screen with a dot.

    Thank you, that is the answer I have been looking for.

    So, the workaround for this (being in the middle of a forest with no cell connection) is to download maps to your device. i have read alot about TrekBuddy, your thoughts? Will MicroSoft Streets and Trips work as well?
