Haha, hilarious.
I agree with the original poster though, sometimes someone wants to use your phone, text other people, and you don't want them to see your texts. Happend to me before.
I wish instead of locking the whole phone, you can lock an application with a passsword. - 07-15-2008, 01:31 PM #30
haha yeah it does make you a bad girl! send some of those "locked" pics over this way lol just kidding

But
I agree just split the sms and email boxes and hide sms.
It'll be the easiest route.
And I can kinda see where its coming from, I too, don't like people I let see my phone, read my messages. It annoying and an invasion of privacy. To keep people out, just simply put a lock on the phone. - 07-15-2008, 01:38 PM #31

I can also see the need to hide some messages, like when I let my girlfriend use my phone and I had to make sure she didn't see anything from another friend I was planning her surprise party with :P
I just trust her to not go poking in to my messages without asking, its always worked before. I have a pinlock on my current flip phone and the Berry will have a password, but she knows the pin code (I gave it to her voluntarily) and she'll probably know the password to the BlackBerry. It's just trust, me and all my friends know enough to not poke in to each others phones, and we look away when they're reading/texting. Seems simpler to solve the trust problem then go to such lengths though. - 07-15-2008, 07:30 PM #37
Wut if he is just dirty talkin with his GF/Wife and she sent some really kinky sh*t that he REFUSES to delete (and possible present to her later after she denies the act of the text so he has proof and backup!) and doesn't want people using his phone to see...man this thread is pressumptuous
lol ok, maybe just the dirty talkin part - 07-15-2008, 07:54 PM #38
Sounds to me like your trying to hide something but simply delete all of your meassages.

Quit looking at my phone.

Me and the wife goof around all the time. Been a couple of times my boys have asked, "Who's that?" when the phone rings. Plus my BB sits on my desk all the time, without a password.
In hide sight, maybe hidden sms's aren't a bad idea after all."If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball" - Patches O'Houlihan - 07-16-2008, 08:26 AM #40
Simply solution .password protect ur phone !! There for if " someone" takes ur phone or u leave it around they can't open it at all
I use to be a man ***** big time and had to always delete my txts so now I just lock it up. Much easier
no password no access

I do the things mentioned above and use the right convenience key to access my SMS. My theme (Aero) also allows for a very simply, clean display and shows my emails as messages. So whoever looks through my phone thinks that is all my messages and don't go pass that. (I've had this happen)
Now I have to get off my lazy **** and install this...

Why is there a new thread started every other day about someone trying to "snow ball" someone else. Trying to hide stuff? You will eventually get caught and eventually we all will hear"omg, my crazy girl/boy friend found my secret hidden messages and put a hammer to my blackberry!" Sighs. Karma is a mfker!

Any progress since May 2009? Any new software capable of hidding texts/sms?
BTW EzSecret SMS on Windows Mobile even "hides" incoming alert! Anybody using the handset won't realize if a new secret text came in. Well, a beep, a vibration, a clown picture can be displayed as well if you want to.
I wish I have that feature on my Onyx and Javelin since I let anybody "borrows" my handsets... while they might contain "naughty" and private texts.Last edited by Sentot; 04-24-2010 at 01:35 AM.

Don't let people be "borrowsin" yer phone!
I just saw a product called Tiger Text. Sounds pretty interesting. Of course, to avoid a lawsuit from Tiger Woods, the app creators claim they've named the app after the Chinese year of the tiger and the fact that a tiger is difficult to track....heh, slick
