Personally I don't make use of all; I don't use the SETTINGS icon, or COMPASS or the PHONE & SEARCH icons at the bottom. I use the BB HUB icon on very limited occasions.
But I won't want BlackBerry to get rid of any Icons; I'm truly indifferent. I think these Icons maybe handy for new BB converts and the "die-hard" legacy users migrating to BB10 phones.

Just curious which Icon or Icons don't you use?

Help, Settings, Voice Control, search, games, setup, camera. All go into a folder "Unused" on the last page of my icons.

Add Hub, SMS to that list
    Games could stay for me

That idea is hardly original. It's been around since BB 10 launched. I can't take credit for it.

    You're welcome.

I do that on my Bold. I put them in an "Unused" folder, and then I hide the folder. Is it possible to make hidden folders on BB10?

I leave mine be, although I don't have to conserve space with the Z30 screen.

Unfortunately no. At least, not yet.

"Hidden Folders" with password access would be nice. However, if it was available I won't use it for "unused" folders.

I have one I call Unused and one I call Junk. I hide them both.

I've actually deleted sms and hub icon, wish I could delete or hide some of the redundent icons, like: voice - phone - tutorial - search - clock - settings - smart tags - camera - help and a few more. those are all in an unused folder, I don't mind them, I wish we had the hide option.

Here are my BlackBerry icons i hide... i appreciate they are there if needed, i don't mind organizing them in a folder vs. not having them at all

Do you use some or all of your pre-loaded Icons on your BB10? Would you like BB to get rid of some?-img_20140318_192120.png

I don't use any...but I use my Q10 for comms only. games are for my Alienware! I "hide" everything in blank folders. Wish I didn't have to name them on my spartan screen, but I've manually approached the old hide/unhide...

If there are certain things that you don't use on your BlackBerry 10 smartphone, then delete them from BlackBerry World or off the home screen.

You don't need BlackBerry Virtual Expert on your device, you can access it via the Help icon with out actually downloading BBVE.

It's funny, I find BBVE very handy cause I have a habit of checking it at least a few times each day. Also I use the calculator often and always like to have BlackBerry Express on a standby.
    I guess preferences vary.

And, no, I'm fine that they ate included automatically when you install the OS.
