I have been turning it off or putting it on phone only mode. Sleep is very important to me.

If it's set to shut down at night, is this equivalent to rebooting? Could be a good way to keep memory healthy, if so.

I sometimes have it set to shut down at night, sometimes I power off and sometimes I set it to phone only.

I use the Phone Only profile. I'm on-call 24/7 for business reasons, so I can't miss an important outage call. Thankfully that almost never happens.

Phone only from 11p.m. to 6a.m. Mon - Fri, I'm not very fond of Spam mail, waking me up in the middle of the night! Other than that, it's always on and within reach!!!!

As with everybody here I never turn my bb off. I like to know what time the call or message comes in. I may set it to phone only b/c no one would dare call me that late

I don't change anything. Just plug it in, then unplug in the morning. I sleep through the vibrating emails coming in, and I'd want to wake up if someone was actually calling overnight.

An an experiment, I have just turned mine off using the Power Off application.

Anybody know how to turn it on again?

I am going to check the FAQ

I leave my curve on all day, at night I just set it to phone only. There are some nights when I let it rest and turn it off.

Found it, the Power On/Off button is shared with the End Call key.

Holding the End Call for four seconds also shuts it down. It wakes up quickly, must faster then a full reboot.

I have a profile I made for sleep time so only my alarm and exception list calls will play... I do use the Auto On/Off set to turn off at 4am and back on a 4:05am... haven't researched it, but i thought this would be like power cycling the berry and saving some health.

I always have my phone off at night ( after 11:30pm) and weekend.
I use the Auto Off feature to make sure it is off at night

Never turn it off. Just use "phone only" at night. It's my only phone (no land line) plus it's my alarm clock.

I also use the alarm clock pretty often as well. Very handy being right there on my berry which I always have with me anyway.
