    I found I had to format mine from my Mac, if I did it from my z30 then I couldn't get it to recognize on my Mac for some reason.

    Do some trial tests before you start loading a bunch of files on it just to make sure it's going to all connect with your ecosystem

    You don't have to. Seems like if you put a fresh formatted (on a computer) SD card in a BlackBerry the phone sets up the SD card automatically and makes folders on the SD card automatically too.
