    I mean that if I'm in middle of nowhere and all I have is GPS signal will it still work? Otherwise ill keep paying for VZW navigator. Thx guys

    from my experience you have to have a data signal to start the program but you can lose signal after it begins and not have any issues

    No, the maps are retrieved and updated by the cell towers. No signal, no worky.

    There is an app that was featured on crackberry.com that it you could reload maps of where you were going . Don't remember if it was free or paid
