We all know the Storm had tons of issues, and now there are people on their 5th Tour (I know that there are also people with perfect Storms and Tours), but did the Curve, Bold, and Curve 8900 have the same amount of problems when they first came out? Just curious!

No. The typical BlackBerry works perfectly out of the box.

The typical BlackBerry user has selected this device because it excels at one specific function, mobile email.

We've all heard about the Storm issues. I think there were some problems with the Bold as well...so much so that a carrier in Europe stopped selling them for a while (can't remember - was it T-Mo or Orange?). Didn't hear about the 8900 much.

Keep in mind that because this is a Blackberry forum, we may be slightly more picky than the general public, and you're going to hear all about problems...so things are a bit skewed.

People are more likely to complain when something's not working than to talk about how well something's working. That's just human nature. So, you hear lots of complaints, which likely makes problems seem more prevalent than they really are.
