If you're not sure which database is causing the error, you can go into the Advanced option in Desktop Manager backup screen, move the files from your BB to DM manually. It will do them sequentially and you can see which file is transferred successfully last (the next file in the list would be the one giving the error).
I have the same problem and it just started recently. I do not have Buzz Berry. The problem is in the profiles (ie ringtones and stuff - normal, vibrate, silent, etc)
I tried selective back up and I lost my ringtone settings and now everytime I back up I lose them.
