well, I got my BB 9220 a couple of hours earlier.
Any thread or quick tips that'll describe what to do with phone?

blackberry id etc. all new for me!!

If you want to get the most out of your BB, contact your service provider and subscribe for a data plan with BIS. Then you can setup your e-mails on your phone and, surf the web, download apps, etc.

Not really sure about what you need to know, but start with BIS, as the phone is pretty bland without it.

What would you like to know?

Useful things would be to create your BlackBerry ID - that should happen when you start up the phone. This will tie into App World and your BBM

From there, useful apps (for first timers) to get would be

- BlackBerry Protect
- BlackBerry Traffic (depending on location)
- Poynt

If you have 7.1 on your device you may be able to take advantage of the free apps (again location dependent)

But ask questions, and we'll try to answer / direct you in the right way!

download an app called vayyoo, its an easy screenshot. The bb button to the left of your trackpad knows all. click that when you need something. your files are set up like a computer, so you can manipulate them as you want to (theres an app called 'files' so you can mess with all that.) definitely set up blackberry protect, one of the best apps youll get. when youre at the homescreen, you can start typing and it will automatically start a universal search on your phone (love that). you can hold a letter down on the keyboard to assign a speed dial contact for a quick call. and every once a week or so, if you want to kind of clean your phone of all the processes, at the home screen, hold ALT and click L+G+L+G, it will bring up your "event log" just click the blackberry button and click clear log. OH and when your scrolling through the selections on the bb button, to quickly get to an option, just click the first letter of the option on your keyboard and it will take you directly to it. so if you have it clicked and you want to go to 'options' you can just tap "o" on your keyboard.

pretty much it, thats what helps me get through every day, i love those ^^, theres a lot of shortcuts and cool little handy things you'll find on the phone, its definitely great.
