Is it safe to assume that we cannot do a BlackBerry device switch? From what I remember, this feature is not available.

From what is being said so far a device switch will be available. May be a new DM process but we are not losing the ability to switch.

Why would you assume there won't be a device switch? RIM has to know that the majority of first adopters will be existing BB users wanting to transfer all their contacts, calender, texts (if they are of the SMS/MMS type), and emails (as long as the accounts are set up the same). That's all just interchangeable data and not really OS dependent. It least not where a transfer program can't translate from one format to another. After all, the telephone number field in one address book will be the same as the telephone number field in another.
