I was wondering,

Is it just BlackBerry owners call their mobile phone 'a device' ?

I know from early Blackberry's the phone is always referred to as a 'device'.

I find myself calling my q10 'a device'

Just a thought.

I kind of see my device as a mobile computer, which it is.

I often say to people that calling one of these things a phone is like calling your oven a clock. But, we use words that we think will communicate with others effectively and obviously people know what you're referring to if you call it a phone.

I think it would be great to come up with a new term for BB10 devices that reflects the computer-like functionality that they have. An iPhone is really an iPod Touch with a phone but a BB10 device is more like a hand computer but no catchy name springs to mind.
