- I am new to BlackBerry, but I recently got the Curve 8830. I love it except for one thing. I am trying to install the Desktop Software but I keep getting the following error message when I try to open it:
"Unable to Locate Component. This application has failed to start because dbghelp.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."
I have tried reinstalling it with and without Media Manager multiple times. The installation goes through the process and restarts my computer like it should, but when I try to open the program afterwards, I get that error message.
I contacted Verizon's tech support and was transferred to BlackBerry's support people, but I am not getting anywhere with it. I already have Roxio Creator on my computer; this is why I tried installing DS without Media Manager, but I'm running out of ideas and patience.
Anyone know what this means and what I can do about it?
Other than that, I am happy with my new Curve.06-11-08 07:32 PM
