I'm trying to get this setup too but having issued with DM recognizing the bluetooth link b/w my desktop and 8330. the bluetooth settings have my 8330 setup as a modem... wonder if that's why DM isn't recognizing it...
Make sure your using the latest version of desktop mgr,5.0. Make sure under Bluetooth settings on phone that the connection is trusted. My works great now.

I've got 2 problems... 1) I'm using a DLink adapter which is clearly stated as not supported and 2) my IT policy (being on BES) have th wireless on TRUE to disable and won't change it.
This aint a big deal, the only time I'd have to be sync'd would be for backing up which I don't do often.
Oh well...
