    If i backup my old curve 8330 with desktop manager, can i then restore it to a new Bold 9650? Or does it not work across models??

    Sure you can do that.

    If you have both devices at the same time, you can also use the Device Switch Wizard to transfer the data to the new device.

    Where would i find that? Mine has "backup assistant" icon but i dont see "device switch wizard".. Maybe my OS is too old. thanks
