No. You cannot use the BlackBerry browser without WiFi and without a data plan.

The Service Books (even if they existed) would not help you without a data plan.
You have to pay to play. - 11-04-2012, 05:02 PM

Re: Default I-net browser withoutdata plan ...
I'm not sure I understand how you think you can browse the internet without either a data plan or a wifi connection.
You need at least one or the other. There is no other way to get to the internet on a mobile device which only uses, basically, a data connection.
All the workarounds you read about are ways around a data plan only. But they use wifi to do it.___________________

Re: Default I-net browser withoutdata plan ...
I`m acctually using internet without data or WiFi by through Opera Mini and It is working perfectly. Out of curiosity I wanted to check if it was possible by using the default browser. That`s it.
Peace everybody ! - 11-04-2012, 06:38 PM #10
You are confused, or confusing your terms. You may not have a BlackBerry data plan, or not even a regular mobile data plan. But carriers often default the line to pay per use data enabled. Therefore, if you are using opera mini on the mobile network, you are using data, just doing it through the carrier APN instead of through RIM's BlackBerry APN. Maybe you have a regular carrier mobile data plan or maybe you don't; but if you don't, then you are paying for data per use, and per use adds up fast.
