Hi , I would like to ask you how much is 1GB of data usage (internet), can you guys tell me how many pages this is equal to? (i use it for fb, chat,skype,email, and websites) . Also does GPS or any other applications on the Blackberry bold use your data usage?

I have unlimited so I don't know for sure but I've read bunches of previous threads where that should be enough for general surfing...no streaming video and audio; no big website downloads; no big picture file downloads or stuff like that though. Try searching "Data Usage" and see if there aren't other members who've already gone through this.

I'm not sure mow many pages, because I have unlimited as well. I surf the web and check Emails daily. I log onto Facebook sometimes. I stream music periodically. I also use VZnavigaotr and BlackBerry maps for GPS. I average about 150 MB per month. I assume 1 GB should be plenty.

I'm a heavy user, IM, web, a ton of CrackBerry stuff. I expect to hit 700 mb this month, at the rate I'm going. My average is about 650 mb.

I pay the extra 30 bucks a month for verizons unlimited data it's nice to know that you can go over and get an extra 400 bcks tacked onto your bill plus everything is unlocked but I don't have wifi

1mb = 1024kb and 1024MB=1GB.
Therefore, 1GB = 1048576KB 1048576 KB

If data is used lightly for fb, chat, skype, email,
websites, and gps that's 1GB is more than enough.

What's perfect for someone like is the app,
mobile data alerter, that keeps track of how much
data has been used.

I average around 500MB with mostly browsing and RSS feeds. Add any streaming and it will do up quickly. Unlimited is worth it for a device like this.
