I was just reading random threads and I see some of you talk about how much data your plans allow for without getting billed ridiculous amounts? What is this? As far as I knew, I got the unlimited thing from T-Mobile that was $19.99 a month. Is there something else I should know about? I don't want to have to see an outrageous bill coming up...

Different carriers charge different prices. I pay $39 for unlimited data for example.

Some people choose plans that give them smaller amounts of data as a way to save money.

I think mosty what you're seeing is people posting from places like Canada, austrailia, etc. Where data prices are still very high. So for them a 20 megabyte plan might cost as much as $50.

T-Mobile's $19.99 is an unlimited DATA plan! You can chat via BlackBerry Pin Messenger, be on the internet, and get a million and 1 emails and still pay the same price.

Of course, like someone else said, text messages is another story...

Yeah you should be fine, I'm with Bell and pay more than you and get less. I got the unlimited e-mail plan for 15 dollars, so it's getting there, but I need to surf the web! (My data costs are about 45 dollars and that gets me unlimited e-mails and 8 mb of bandwidth for internet, pretty shi--y if you ask me...)

Yeah you will definitely be okay because I also have tmobile and trust me I am always on the internet (lol) and I dont get charged any extra money just the 19.99. However I do pay for the 4.99 for 400 text messages and 400 MMS messages.

I am paying $ 29.99 a month with att for the bb plan and I am using it a lot myself so don't worry you will be fine. Since there are 3 other phones on my plan we have the unlimited family txt plan here for $ 29.99 as well, especially great when we have all aspects covered.

Okay phew, I was worried for a second there. I knew there was a reason I've been with tmob for 5 years, haha. Their bb plan seems pretty good. Thanks everyone! I feel better now.

I'll be going with the $29.99 AT&T plan. Is not having text messaging something I should be concerned about? How needed is it if it's not used for chatting b/w friends?

The only bad thing about the 19.99 plan is that you don't get access to your exchange account , it's $10 extra if you want that feature. Otherwise I downloaded close to 50mb on my last statement and I was charged the same.

I pay 39.95 a month for unlimited data. I had to sign up for 12 months to get that price, otherwise it was 49.95. Gurr, I hate Australia.

    Hi,

On Bell with unlimited internet, but it doesn't apply to BB. Everytime I call them I get a different answer, so I hope to get a solid answer from the experts here. Anybody know the diff and why BB doesn't work with unlimited internet? For example, my bro in law has the same plan but has the HTC touch, and it works for him.

    Thanks.

I have the $19.99 plan from T-Mobile and I like it. I also have there unlimited calling and texting plan for $99 a month and I only have a one year contract. The lady from T-Mobile said I have a excellent plan because the unlimited calling and texting plan is usually for 2 year contracts only.
