The price switches when it hits 12 at a certain time zone
I'm not sure what that timezone is
But usually when it hits 12 EST, it is free
So at most it will be 3 hours

I don't think so it will be free because original price for cut the rope is 4.9 usd and now it is a gift for half the price isn't it? but I hope it will be free after 12

There's a "Commonly Asked Questions" link under it in BlackBerry World which explains how the 'Free' period works.
I think I paid $5- for something which I'll rarely ever use - due to not having read that

I just tapped on More from ZeptoLab and found out the other one, Cut the Rope: Experiments, is the one that's free... Maybe a mistake on their part? Well, I downloaded it anyway.

While the main Banner showing it as free !!

And the main page of the the application in store showing it as free too (green box with free price)

But when you hit the green box, they will ask you to confirm the bayment of 1.99$
