If they made a CMDA Curve World Edition with GPS (WiFi would be a plus), then I would move up to the Curve. I'm quite happy with my 8830, although there are times I miss having the built-in camera (I carry a point-&-shoot all the time, too). I use GPS quite often, so that is a requiement as well.
I also use an 8830 on Verizon, because my choice at the time was the 8830 or the Pearl 8130. I wanted a full QWERTY keyboard more than I wanted a camera, hence the decision. There wasn't even mention, at the time, of a Curve coming to Verizon. Although I am VERY pleased with the 8830 - it more than fulfills my needs and wants - I think the Curve is a very nice device. With the Curve you get a camera AND a full QWERTY. I have no regrets over my decision, however.
