Yes I know...not apples to apples but that's the 2 phones I am deciding right now.
Before anything, I should mention that this phone is a second device, only meant to back up first one. My main one still will be iPhone mainly for camera and apps. I find myself way too often out of coverage area and dropped signals. Phone will most likely be set to EDGE mode only.

The main points I am interested in:
-reception (this is huge for me)
    -call quality
    -battery life
    -OS stability

I would really love Z30 because I have read only good things about Paratek antenna that only Z30 has but it's bit out of my price league for now. And spending $400 just for Paratek technology can't justify it.

So once again, I am comparing 9320 for $99 and Q5 for $149 in reception, call quality and battery life.

I powered up my old curve a month or so ago and can honestly say go with the Q5. It can just do so much more better. I actually don't own a Q5 but for $50.00 more I would take the plunge. As for your specific points hopefully a Q5 owner can chime in.

Battery life will be better on the curve. I think I used get 3 days out of it.

Q5 is better in all regards really: keyboard, battery, OS, apps, camera, speed, power. And will also serve you well in case your iPhone ever fails you. I am using a Q5 currently coming from the Curve 9220 and this has been my experience so far.
Well I have never had any problems with the reception, call quality is very good. Better than the 9320.
    Hope it helps

Q5 will dust any legacy device and I fully recommend it as long as you can live without the belt, bb10 is the bees knees and the Q5 changed my life.

Flicked on my Z30 or crushed on my Q5!

I can't see getting a legacy device at this point unless you need certain features.

Q5. Unless you really need to use the belt. It's a backup right? Well the Q5 can actually back you up with the browser in Particular and stronger battery life.

Never owned a Curve, but spend the extra $50 for the Q5. Bigger screen, modern OS and a great battery. The 9320 does have the belt keys and the data compression so you use less data though.

Don't use voice on my Q5, but if it is anything like my z10, reception in low coverage areas will be quite good.

By an 32 - 64 Gb SD card for your Q5, load up with music and the $150 Q5 will embarrass your $730 iphone (if cell phones had emotions) especially as the Apple's battery is dying and the Q is still going strong

    It's not even a choice!

Get the Q5. Don't waste anymore time. You'll absolutely love it. The 9320 is total **** in comparison.
