Any idea why my trackball works down, left and right but I cannot get it to move upward. Also if I buy a new trackball do the suppliers generally send instructions or can someone tell me where to get repair info from
I know this sounds weird but, lick your finger and scroll the track ball around. If it starts working, get some rubbing alcohol and dab it on your finger and scroll the TB. DO NOT use a q-tip or cotton swab.
They are very simple to replace on the Curve. Simply pry up the ring from one of the bottom gaps, set it aside, place the screen side down and the ball drops into your hand.
To install the new one, look at the back of the tb you will see a 'key' slot, the tail points at the bottom of the phone.
Drop the unit into the phone, when it is placed in level, place the ring in the slots at 3,6, and 9 o'clock, place your thumb on top of the ring, press straight down. It should click neatly into place.
Be gentle, the tabs can be broken easily
