I was fumbling with the engineering screen on my curve 8310 and I screwed with the cell information screen. After changing the bandmode a few times, when I tried changing it back to 'All' (900 850 1800 1900), my phone now only receives GSM coverage, no EDGE nor edge. This is extremely frustrating as, obviously, no internet, no nothing! I am on VIVO in Brasil, and it's been working since before I fumbled with the engineering screen. Yes, don't blame me for doing so. I was curious and on a long bus ride. The phone is unbranded.
Please help! Anybody experienced with the engineering screen guide me!
Solved my own problem. Went to my provider's blackberry site (VIVO) signed in, sent the service books and everything was back to normal a few seconds after shutting down the mobile network and restarting. Hope this helps anybody who messes with the engineering screen!
