CrackUtil is supplied in a ZIP file package. You can down load the file from this thread:

In order to use it, your computer will need to have a suitable Un-ZIP utility installed:

WinZip® - The Zip File Utility for Windows - Zip Files, Unzip Files

There is one special condition, Windows Vista user must make a one time setting to enable CrackUtil to run with Administrator privileges.

I never really liked crackutil since I started using BBSAK. The UI is user friendly and simple.

thanks! got crakutil installed w zip but i am not sure how to enable from administrator , thus access is being denied by the program.... takin baby steps...

CrackUtil and BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife (BBSAK) are both front end utilities for jl_cmdr, the command line Java utility.

Both are useful and capable of bricking a BlackBerry if used carelessly.

i have a windows vista and in downloaded crackutil and every time i try to open it, it tells me file access denied can anyone tell me what might be wrong

Right click on the icon for CrackUtil and select Run as Administrator.

That should allow it to run normaly. To make the setting perment, Right click on CrackUtil, select Properties / Compatibility / Run as Administrator.
