And boom goes the dynamite! I'm holding out for that Bold...I have a personal Pearl and a work 8320. Hey Kev, hook it up with that free Bold (I can wait!), pleaaaase. I am needy...
...and new to Blackberry. I've had a Treo for some time and kicked around the idea of getting the 3G but I've just never found the virtual keyboard as satisfying (or effective for that matter) as a physical keyboard.
I'm probably most excited to see what the Thunder interface will look like, but I know I'll be in line for the Bold whenever RIM decides to make a US release date public.
WOW we hit the 200,000 mark pretty quick! congrats CB. 11 has always been my lucky number, so maybe THIS time I might have a chance at winning. I will BOLDly state that I would love to have the BOLD if I win. First thing I would do is hit the CB and post pics of me and the new toy...er...um I mean...Portable Business Device....yeah yeah thats it!!
most excited about the Bold, but they all look nice.
like to see more 3rd party options for the today screen and just more apps in general.
find a way to make winamp work on the BB....(I know thats not really a BB thing...but it would be nice.)
I'm firmly in the BOLD camp! The thunder comes a close second though. I hope BB creates a DM for mac really soon- I want my favorite toys to play nice!!!
I really like the super sleek look of the Javelin, but i'm not feeling the qwerty layout with the "curve" gaps. The Bold has a layout that is similar to the 88xx series. I'd like to hope for a hybrid... but i know it's not gonna happen.
I love my 8830 with a passion. I love the look and the quality feel/ergonomics of it. The lack of a camera does not really bother me since it's primarily a business tool and not a toy (for me anyway). I really feel like my BB is the next best thing to a tiny laptop. It perfectly fulfills my need to be connected but not weighed down by a laptop or an outrageously useless Sony UX Micro PC.
As for future blackberries, I feel a more pocketpc-type flexibility would be awesome. More applications that fit mobilty and productivity together into a succinct package. i'd love to be able to do visual basic editing and java work on my bb in a simulated win/linux/mac environment like virtual box. Definitely more on-board memory. more is better. maybe the ability to add more than on micro-sd letting one serve as an augmentation to the main memory and the other acting as normal removable memory. Really, an Ubuntu+Beryl type interface would be in insane.
Can't wait to see how the bold does against the iphone. I have a feeling its going to be a hot device .I would love to see my mom on a thunder device and hoping to get my wife on a pearl soon.
Its great to see 200,000 members on crackberry.com
Great podcasts keep it going love hearing Craigs insight.
the bold most def... and also javelin, cuz its gonna come to t-mo, which i have... hehe. anyways, im excited about ALL RIM products and the future looks sunny n bright. cant wait.
