Hello everyone,

This is my first post. I am a relatively new blackberry user. I was given a blackberry bold 9930 to use at work. Recently I have been talking with someone via blackberry messenger and we want to send videos to each other. When she records they are saved as .3GP and I can view them with no problem. When I record I have 3 options: HD (1280x720) Normal (640x480) and MMS Mode (320 x 240). The first 2 save as .MP4 and she is unable to view them. The MMS mode saves as a .3G2 file and it looks horrible and she cannot hear any sound.

My phone is a blackberry bold 9930, she has a blackberry bold 9700.

I would like to either save my better quality videos as .3GP or find out how she can view .MP4.

It is frustrating that a default video format on one blackberry bold is not viewable on another blackberry bold.

Welcome to the forums!

Check with if her 9700 is running OS6 (Left Alt + Left Shift + H), I had no issues playing MP4 files with my 9780 (which was running OS6).

Updating the OS (and BBM alongside it) should solve this issue! Info on how to update the OS is on my signature!
