I have an 8330m and have uninstalled desktop manager and did a clean install of 5.0, my BB shows the lightning bolt for about 2sec then it disappears and my desktop manager never sees that I am hooked up via my usb (same as I have always hooked up).

Has anyone had this problem? If so, any solutions?

BTW, tried battery pull as well.

Actually, I'm having the same issue, it's saying on my PC "USB device not Recognized" and I can't get the DM to show that my Curve is connected. Quite frustrating overall. Of course, it still charges when connected to the USB, just not connecting to the PC. I don't even think I get the lightning bolt symbol on my Curve.

I just got the darn thing, and I'm really liking it, I just don't want to have to bring it back for a new one, already got alot of things installed on it. If anyone can help us, it would be a great help.

Ditto, I have a feeling that it Device is Borked, good thing I'm inside the 30 day return. Gonna run down today and get a replacement.
