There is a BlackBerry Link version for each OS. If you plan on loading any of the leaks, you will need a Windows PC.

I have a retina Mac Book Pro and have used Desktop Manager on it, and also on my Mom's new HP something or another.

Now I have BlackBerry Link on my Mac Book and also on her HP.....and without question, PCs WORK THE BEST WITH BLACKBERRY.

I don't think I can say that emphatically enough. BlackBerry Link/Desktop Manager is not nearly as good as its PC counterpart. It really bothers me, because I swear by my Apple computer the same way I swear by my BlackBerry phones, and I hate that they really do not get along.

The PC version of Link is great though. Same with Desktop Manager (older BlackBerrys). Every time I restored a backup file from my PC, it worked. On my Mac, it only restored some things, and usually left out a bunch of contacts. This isn't a phone issue. I've done it with my two 9780s, my two 9900s, 9810, and Z10.

BlackBerry Mac software is just not very good. But I'm not gonna get a PC of my own for the sake of my BlackBerry, and I sure as he11 am not going to buy an iPhone so it'll sync beautifully with my Mac Book.

I don't even bother trying to use Link on my Macbook. It's too frustrating and the windows version is a lot easier to navigate and for some reason, looks more 'clean' lol

I have a MacBook Pro and multiple Windows machines. I use both. Haven't really noticed much difference...

I'm using a MacBook Pro retina: the latest Link (build 32) works better than the last. I can dual boot into Windows 7, but I only use that for some games.

Is the throughput any faster from Windows, compared with OSX? I was only getting 1mb/s over a Wifi link.

I have a Mac desktop and a Windows laptop. Link works fine on both, although the Windows lappy ALWAYS stops to install the device driver every time I plug the Z10 into it. No such issues on the Mac. Otherwise, I find that Link works the same on both.

BUT, as dslocumb noted above, if you want to load up leaked OS's, you need Windows.
