Alright folks, it's finally been released (Nexus 5) and im very curious to hear your opinion about it. Be it specs, price and all things phone in comparison to the z30. I'm a current z10 owner and I'm always glad to see what the flagship phones out there have to offer

Google announces the Nexus 5 with Android 4.4, on sale today for $349 (hands-on)

To start things off, I'm hella impressed that they manage to pack a full HD + Wireless ac capability + more than capable processor at a starting price of $350. I'm not sure of how subsidies from Google may work, but in comparison with our current flagship, the Nexus 5 just has strong hand in offering a extensive ecosystem with highly affordable hardware. This pricing scheme especially is very attractive even when a person might consider a popular phone like the iPhone5s, it's definitely an eye catcher

Only Plus I have seen on the specs is that N5 has a wireless charging...everything else I prefer Z30.

The two things about the Nexus that makes me jealous are the direct OS updates and super customizability of the OS.

You prefer the 720p 5" screen with 295 ppi resolution to the 1080p screen with 445 ppi? Please elaborate.....

Do you also like the $600-650 price of the Z30 versus the $349 Nexus?

True, eliminating fragmentation of OS upgrades makes it real easy and convenient. Works well for mass adoption too!!

    Seriously? You prefer a 720p screen over a 1080p?

Even if the phone went for $500-$600 off contract, it'd still be worth the money considering the competition and how much they're going for.

For $350/$400 off contract, I might buy one for my birthday in about 6 weeks. The build quality looks very good, very simple minimalist design but seems very durable. Ceramic buttons is a nice touch.

My LG G Pro is great, but I want to see how KitKat 4.4 is like. Only downside is I'd be going from a 5.5" to a 5" screen. And I'm not a big fan of on screen buttons, but supposedly KitKat addresses much of the issues I have with on screen buttons.

I think the Nexus 5 looks like an amazing phone. High end processor, beautiful screen, and all at $350. Looking at it on paper, the Z30 doesn't offer much at all over this.

If I were interested in Android or if BlackBerry went under, this would be the device I'd get

Cannot make a judgment since I have not tried out either device. Specs in my opinion are not important in comparison to how the software is integrated and works with the hardware.

1080p slows things down and you can't tell the difference. Majority of people can't tell difference on their 50" TV let along their smartphone.

The Z30's 4 speakers and Natural Sound & Best in Class Paratek Antenna right away are more important features to me.

Biggest point, BB10 rocks and hands down is a better experience than Android. Don't even get me started on the other advantages of BB and BB10 compared to android.

Nexus is ok if you want a phone to last a year, but if you're looking for superior build quality no comparison to BB.

Lol, seriously, 1080p slows things down??? I noticed a big difference when jumping from a 720p to a 1080p, me thinks you need an eye exam.
