You are so going to have one of "those" threads, but your are correct. Clean trackballs do indeed make a difference (I will not fall into your trap:) ).

How sad it is... Storm owners have no ball(s).
And yes if you hold the phone faced down and push/roll the track ball around it free's up any loose debris, but there's nothing like taking it out to clean it, or just straight up replacing it with a new one...
I never clean my balls...................................
They are so cheap and easy to replace on my 8310 I dont even clean em anymore. Move funny, get to dirty? - I just pitch em and replace.
Thanks for chiming in tho...classic thread... should have signed off.... BALL-LESS...
This is a classic!!!
How difficult is cleaning the 8330 trackball I am new to BB and also scared if some thing goes wrong, its been 5 months I have bought this BB and never cleaned it.

hehe clean balls. hahaha
I'm not trying to be too pervy with this topic, but some people don't realize that some of the problems with their berries can be from the tracball getting dirty, and the whole phone being dirty causes lots of problems.

And don't forget everybody, when cleaning your balls don't forget about what's under them as well. It can get very dirty and linty in there.
Sorry I couldn't resist, lol

Lol, eve6, that was perfect

Until necessary, ya don't really clean them, but when you're stuck, it's pinch and roll 'em around, loosens them up pretty well, ahh!
Easier to get things done without gritty balls.

I remember YEARS ago reading a document that came from IBM on instructions for cleaning mouse balls (original 5120 PC). It was a hilarious read when taking it out of context. :D
O_X I certainly hope it makes the difference. I have an 8100 total housing on the way from a guy on eBay - the guy that had this BB before me was a total pig (bought the 8100 off craigslist) and my trackball is yellow. ICK. O_O (at least the yellow on BlingBall shows up properly, lmao)
LMAO.. all you people with dirty balls should be ashamed of yourselves.. LOLOL had to do it. ;-)
I wax mine...smooth like an egg...
