Given that the Classic has a lot more carrier and enterprise support, one would expect this. These are large entities that would have ordered their units a long time ago.

Since the 200k was obviously a lie due to total sale of devices falling off the cliff, whatever they say doesn't really mean anything

What makes it obvious that it's a lie?

Does anyone know the total amount of passports sold to date? I've looked around and haven't seen it mentioned anywhere.

the 1.9 million units sold...it should have been much higher...and why did he say 200k sold after few days of release and then at the Earning call did not mentioned the numbers(because on earning call he cannot lie on numbers or he can be sued)?

The 1.9M phones sold this quarter includes all BBOS and BB10 sales, though for the previous 2 quarters, BB10 had finally pulled ahead of BBOS sales.

The 200K Passport sales are true: BB only ordered that many, and (excepting the percentage that had to be held back for warranty replacements), they all sold. Unfortunately, without a standing production order, lead time on restocking is 2-3 months, so there couldn't be any more sold when there were none to sell.

If anything, Chen lied/exaggerated when he said that 200K sold through via Amazon and Digital River, when in fact, those 200K were all that were available worldwide (though I suspect that the vast majority were in fact sold through Amazon and DR).

There are no official numbers to support or refute BB10 sales figures from any reasonable source. Posters pass opinion off as fact and then use that opinion to generate the next opinion from which the next poster generates an opinion making the previous opinion fact. Now people know exactly how many of a device BlackBerry originally ordered. It is comical really. BlackBerry could clear this up for everyone, but they have never done such a thing.

Who cares which one sells more at launch. As long as they are selling lots of phone investors and fans are happy.

They made fewer Passports than they made Classics Before launch, so it's not really a surprise that they would have sold more Classics at launch then is it?

All Blackberrys have Enterprise support! Where do you come up with such one sided favoritism from one BlackBerry device to another!?

Their all capable of management from BES10 (BB10 onky) or BES12 devices!!
