My Storm has been making a chime sound occasionally for no reason. No new messages of any kind, no calendar or alarm notification. Nothing that I have been able to find to cause the sound. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Are you subscribed to a news service or sports service that sends updates? You are hearing a Browser Push notification. Open your Active Profile, check out the assigned notifier for the Browser. Odds are, that's it.

Press menu and look at all your app icons. It could be a weather alert or update. Also look in profiles/set ringtones and alerts under Other. This will list app alerts. Last but not least check under browser. Could be a browser alert. To confirm any of the following go to any listed and use the Try It button. As soon as you find the identical sound you have located the culprit. Happy Hunting.
