Am I missing something or is there really not a CDMA BB with WiFi?

    No, you're not missing anything.

Wifi is not available on any CDMA BB.

Thanks. I just noticed that while looking at other models and was hoping I was wrong.. I'm stuck with my carrier which is CDMA due to them being the only ones with coverage in the area. Work has setup Wifi because in the building there is no signal. Guess we hope a CDMA Bold won't be to long in coming.

So if I am correctly inferring what you are implying then... a CDMA Bold will have WiFi capabilities?!?!

Well, we can hope, pray, cry and/or beg.

Not likely. To my knowledge there has never been a CDMA BB with Wifi. My guess is because of the already fast speeds of the EVDO network.

    LOL, good one....

UMA is a technical specification that was born in Europe. In the UK, O2 and Orange sponsored the early adoption of the technology. T-Mobile, the other big European GSM carrier was not far behind.

In Europe, they do not use CDMA, so there was no market for a CDMA device with Wifi and UMA support.

In America, where CDMA is common, the carriers are scared to death of UMA, it threatens there bottom line.

Will the Bold support UAM on CDMA? Not likely.
