Your computer will recognize what kind of file it is and will probably use a default program. If it turns out you need to choose the program through a list, try stuff like QuickTime, Windows Media Player, etc. Multimedia programs.
Are the videos saved as .avi? Or something else? You could also just download a free video converter and convert the video to a format that quicktime or those other programs would play.

The best media player I have found (never found a file it wouldn't play) was VLC media player. You can download it it directly from videolan website. Sorry but I do not yet have enough posts to put a link in my reply.
