    I was thinking about playing with this feature on my Pearl 8130 to save some battery life. But then I thought, what if I set it to turn off at, say midnight, and then I happened to want to use my BB at 12:15 am? If I turned it back on, would it immediately shut itself off again?

    Any thoughts? Anyone tested this?

    What you could do is manually shut it off. It will then come back on at the time you set for auto on.
