I am not a developer, I really don't have any developing tools or skills :P, but m a true BlackBerry fan, and I dont wanna shift away, but I have this android app for messaging and I have to keep it always on to receive messages and notification, I really wish somehow it either stays headless, or cones on my it's self every time I restart or atleast prompts me if I try to close it,
I know 10.3 will have the feature where when u restart the phone it shows the previously opened apps, even that would be helpful, but at the moment I just have one BlackBerry 10 device I use for daily use until I get the Passport at launch (I live in Dubai, so be jealous haha)

I'm guessing it might be awhile before we see the ability for all android apps to run headless. But that would be pretty cool.

Some apps do run in background without having them opened.
Clean Master for example.
Soundcloud too.(it doesn't shutdown when you close the tab)
Tapatalk, I get notifications when I receive replies

Really? I installed leak 10.3.0.1052 and I didn't received any notification on Line app O.o

I am using 1154. When someone sends message I get a notification in hub in addition to a app screen opening with the notification at its center.

Viper for example runs in background even when the app is closed from the active frame. I am able to receive msgs and calls. So some android apps do work in the background.

Yes guys, all apps you guys mentioned does, but one specific is not, and Idk if there is a way to change that, I guess it's just not how it works, it's cool, m on 10.3 as well now, so it remembers my open apps on restart

Many headless apps run on 10.2.1+

As long as it's designed to run in the background. Just run the app once then close it and you should be good to go. Remember to run the app again after any reboot.
