This whole nonsensical Z and Q thing just isn't working for me I hate it in cars and I hate it on phones. I liked that I had something before when I had my Bold for example! Or my Torch.

So please BlackBerry bring back the model names. Make the Z30 the Aristo as it was supposed to be. Give us back our Bolds.

    Hell give me a Phoenix!

I never liked the names, mostly because when people would say "I have the Bold 3, before which I had the Bold 2," I had no idea which one is the Bold 2, which one is the Bold 3. However, if they were to say "I have the 9900, before which I had the 9780," I'd know exactly what they were talking about.

I don't think there were many people that called their phones "Bold 2" or "Curve 3" or the like. Most people I encountered would say, when using the device name "Bold 9700", Curve 8310" "Pearl 3G", "Torch 9800" and so on. It always made sense to me.

I'd see it a lot in the device/OS sub-forums (the best sub-forums,) and most often, the ones who did that were from a particular region of the world which I found interesting. I'd be reading a post in the 9900 sub-forum, and they'd call it Bold 4, or Dakota or Montana, at which point I'd wonder if they had CB mixed up with a Disney forum.

Lol I never did that at most I would break it down by name and number.

I just found that the model names added something special. Something that the other phones didn't have in a lot of cases.
