Our beloved platform is definitely undergoing change, far bigger change than simply launching a new OS and hardware line up.

There is an abundance of doom and gloom, and yes, the reality is that BlackBerry will likely not be the same in the near future.

Be that as it may, let's keep our chins up. Let's embrace the future until we know definitely what all this change means.

The BlackBerry phone has such a singular presence in the world of smartphones that I seriously doubt whether it will just 'go away'.
Likewise, there have been such serious inroads made in the development of this current platform that I don't foresee how it would just cease to exist - as is necessary in all the disaster scenarios being floated about.
Indeed, the worst may have already happened to an immense body of people, (it's traditional user-base) - in that BlackBerrry is moving on from the older less future-proofed OS.
