Why is it that I send a BBM and it will show the checkmark but not show the "D" for being delivered?

Does the person on the other end get it?
Are you sure you're sending a BBM and not a SMS? (there would be a little phone icon next to the persons name if it's an SMS)

Is ths an ongoing issue? Did you just start using bbm, or has it been working previously? A little more info will help others help you. Sometimes if rim's servers are having issues, sending messages can be delayed, as well as if the person on the receiving end has bad/no coverage the delivery can be delayed.

Were it BBM, they would either be on the phone (and no 3G), out of reach, the phone is off, upgrading their OS, or changed phones and lost all contacts.
