This was BB's plan all along I think to get momentum behind a full touch BB where they have largely never had any before. I took the plunge on Canadian launch day for the exact same reason as you.

There are days I do miss the keyboard but I've had it 6+ weeks already and who knows if it will be 6 more before the Q is released anywhere in the world so I don't regret no waiting.

Good choice. Myself, my wife and my daughter got it 1st week it was available in Canada. We can't seem to put it down. It's funny to see our noses buried in the phone at the dinner table.

I don't regret getting my Z10. Love the keyboard, and I am coming from a 9780, so keyboard was a big "?" for me. Now I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I know you've heard this before, but there is no way you will go back after using the Z10 keyboard. Takes a few days for it to learn your style of writing and where you position fingers. After that, smooth sailing.

I made the leap myself earlier today. When BlackBerry first told us that the Q10 would be launched after the Z10, I thought for sure I'd wait for it. But I just couldn't. I wanted BlackBerry10 in my life as soon as possible. So I got the Z10 today on T-Mobile. I thought I loved my 9900...well, I do still. But the Z10 is in a league of it's own. I'm already good at typing, and am starting to swipe up for the predicted words. I know this will only get better, and I'll pickup the Q10 whenever T-Mobile releases it.

But for now, I'm just enjoying diving headfirst into my first touchscreen phone...and honestly, BlackBerry is the only phone company I'd trust for this endeavor I'm taking. They've pulled off a fantastic keyboard, and it's every bit as great as it looks in YouTube videos. I feel like I'm taking a vacation from QWERTY keyboards...but I know once I see promo pics of it, ready for release, I will buy it in a heartbeat because that style BlackBerry will always be my #1.

One thing I found is that I type much longer messages than I did on my 9700. I loved the qwerty keyboard, but the Z10's keyboard makes it so easy to flick words and write even more. On my Bold, I might have responded with a short reply. With the Z10, responses have been more detailed without feeling like I need to keep things short.
