I want the OPPOSITE of what everyone else is asking.
Perhaps it's a stupid question, but I am about to give up.
I want to sync the songs that are on my Blackberry Curve 8900
to my Itunes Library. Everyone else wants to sync ITunes to
their Blackberry. I want to do the reverse!

And when I used Media Sync, it TRASHED all my Blackberry
songs, the ones that were already on my phone.
I had to call technical support to restore them; restore would
not do that on Desktop Manager.

Where ARE Blackberry songs backed up to?

if you have them on a sd card you can easily move them from that to itunes. I dont think there is a way to "sync" the two together though, as in keep them both identical like you can going from itunes>blackberry or ipod>blackberry etc.

Agreed with what the previous posters stated…. If your phone is in mass storage mode you will be able to copy them over to the computer, and if they are on your media card you can copy them from there to your HDD. Either way you will be able to store them in your iTunes library.

Sort of out of topic, but...

I've always thought it funny that iTunes changed their software version twice in response to keep Palm Pre users from being able to sync their music off of iTunes; yet, BlackBerry owners can use iTunes to sync their music...LOL.

well, i've TRIED that, to switch to mass storage.
nothing is showing up, anywhere, on my computers HD,
    or on ITunes.
after saying "yes" to mass storage, THEN what do i
do (maybe i'm missing a step somewhere).
    thanks for everyones help.

could you be more specific, that is, if they are on my media card,
which they are, how do i "copy" them to my computers HD?

I would plug your phone in, and turn on mass storage so Media card can be viewed in My Computer. Then go into iTunes Import File/Folder (or whatever it is), and pick the songs you want.

You might be able tell iTunes to watch that drive. So everytime you have your phone plugged in and iTunes running, it will search for new music. (I have no idea if this is possible though, it's been a long time since I've used iTunes.)

The way i was describing would involve taking the card out of the bb, and using a microsd adapter to plug in the microsd card to you computer. Then you would go to my computer and click on the media card. Then, (at least on mine), my music is under blackberry>music. You could then just copy the files in there to your music folder on your pc. Then add them into itunes.
